We have delivered to Logística Galvez Marín a 66 m³ combination designed for Spain’s new rules: up to 72 t gross combination weight and around 54 t of payload on every trip.

In cement transport, every extra trip is an extra cost. Driver, diesel, tolls, wear and tear: everything multiplies with the number of departures. That’s why we designed a combination that carries more on every trip. The first unit has just been delivered to Logística Galvez Marín, in Spain.

The right time to grow

Spain has changed the rules of the game. With Orden PJC/780/2025, published in the BOE on 23 July 2025, European Modular System combinations can now reach 72 tonnes and 32 metres. The most important change is another one: individual permits are no longer required. These vehicles can run freely on the network of routes approved by the DGT. Those who get equipped today start ahead.

The configuration

The combination is made up of three units:

1. 1. Road tractor

1. 1. CM35 semi-trailer, 35 m³, with integrated coupling

1. 1. 3-axle drawbar trailer, 31 m³

The coupling integrated into the semi-trailer allows the drawbar trailer to be hitched directly. No intermediate dolly is needed. This means less dead weight, fewer components to manage and more paying load.

Why choose it

• • 66 m³ total capacity (35 + 31 m³)

• • 72,000 kg gross combination weight, the maximum allowed in Spain for EMS combinations

• • Around 54,000 kg payload: roughly 75% more than a traditional 44 t tanker

• • Steering axle for agile manoeuvring on construction sites, at cement plants and in yards

• • No dolly: a simpler configuration to operate and maintain

• • Fewer trips, lower costs, less CO₂: Spanish experience with longer combinations points to emission reductions of up to 30% and logistics cost reductions of up to 25%
